Jacqueline introduces Marcus to Angela who works for Lady Eloise in the art department. Before Marcus realizes that Lady Eloise has no authority, he sleeps with her to keep his job. Marcus thought he was getting a promotion when he realized that job went to Jacqueline Broyer. The advertising agency that Marcus works at is taken over by Lady Eloise. Gerard on the other hand is your typical nice guy who can't find a woman. He always feels there is a conspiracy against black people. He can date a gorgeous, smart, funny woman, but always finds a flaw in her. He is an advertising executive and loves the ladies. The movie Boomerang is about a man named Marcus Graham. She is hesitant at first then forgives him. Awhile later, Marcus realizes he loves Angela and goes to her new job. She sees that Marcus has regained his confidence. Angela talks to Marcus about what is going on with Jacqueline. At work he becomes the butt of jokes from all the women. Eventually Jacqueline decides to end things with Marcus. The more he likes her, the more she pushes him away. The more time they spend together, the more Marcus likes her. Jacqueline gets up afterward and leaves Marcus alone in bed. During their time there, they go out dancing and sparks fly. The new account at work has Marcus and Jacqueline going to New Orleans. Jacqueline tells him that she doesn't think it's a good idea to date people you work with.
