This will always be my favorite flying game.❤️ I don't know, maybe it is just my imagination, but I don't feel the planes as fast as it used to be. One downfall for me is that it seems that the speed is not the same as the original. No reason to keep both versions online.Īnd, the Infinity version has the 2 DLC's released for the original game, and adds a lot more too!ĥ new planes, including 2 planes from DARKSIDERS (that's was so f#cking cool), new visual effects for power-ups, new weather effects, improved daytime and nighttime (now nighttime gets really dark), new effect for braking (now your plane can drift! Get it? .), and the game looks absolutely gorgeous. It is like what happened to Burnout Paradise, when it got a remaster the servers for the older version got all shut down. So, if this game has better servers that I can play online, sign me up. Talking about multiplayer, the servers on the old game are nearly impossible to play, because of the disconnection you get everytime. Using it on multiplayer (not that you can anyway), will make the game go crazy as hell.

Well, if you use the mod to make the older version run at 60 FPS it will run just fine, but ONLY on singleplayer.

Many argue that the first game was capped at 30 FPS, this one is unlimited.Īnd others argue that you CAN allow the older game to run on more FPS using mods so this new remaster would not be worth. SkyDrift became not only my favorite game, but a standard for any flying game I was going to find after (looking at you The Crew 2 ¬¬). With time, the servers got extremely unstable, to the point it was impossible to finish any race online. I was used to pirate games, but then I found this little gem and wanted to play multiplayer so much, I ended up coming to Steam, and never left since then.īack then, the original was so cool, and it had a good community, not many people played, but you could always find a room with at least 4 people. SkyDrift was the game that made me join Steam 5 years ago.
